The children have participated in small group times with different song options by joining in with different actions.

Communication and Language

The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the baby tuff tray, experimenting with various baby accessories. They used objects such as the brush and bottle to brush the dolls’ hair and bring the bottle to their mouths, mimicking mouth movements. This process was repeated consistently. The children spent a significant amount of time exploring the dolls, demonstrating a strong understanding of baby care.

Physical Development.l

The children engaged in an exploration of sand, utilising large brushes to make repetitive marks. Some children moved their brushes in an up-and-down motion, while others made circular patterns. They displayed sustained concentration, seemingly content in their experimentation. A brief period was spent allowing sand to flow between their fingers, a process they repeated. Positive interactions were observed as children shared sand by placing it into each other’s bowls. Additionally, some children experimented with sound by clanging their bowls together.

The children enjoyed exploring the bubbled water with dolls and sponges. They were particularly fascinated by the sponges, squeezing them and observing the water drip onto their hands. They then placed the sponges on various parts of the dolls bodies. When asked, “Is the baby having a bath?”, some children responded with nods and enthusiastic “Yeahs.” The activity clearly fostered significant engagement and enjoyment, with the children fully engrossed in their play.
