The Den:
Welcome back all to our term time children returning back at the start of this week! We hope everyone had a lovely half term off!
Characteristics of learning:
What a busy week we have had, the children have been filled with joy!
The children have spent a lot of time in the outdoor environment, they have really enjoyed using different coloured chalks to make marks on the trees and other outdoor resources. This has prompted the children’s ability to grip resources using their pincer grip. Communication has also developed with knowing and understanding different colours. Following from their interest in mark making the children have enjoyed painting with coloured paint, brushes and stampers. The children have been fascinated in the marks they have created.
The children have also been displaying their interest in the sand, we have been using metal resources such as scoops and empty coffee containers along with brushes, this has further developed the children’s fine motor and hand eye coordination.
Parents as partners:
We ask that all children arrive at nursery with sun cream applied. We will be asking parents to apply our nursery suncream at drop off if not applied beforehand.
Please can we ask to ensure the safety of the children that all parents/carers close the gate when entering and exiting the premises.
Nursery will be closed for staff training day on the 26th of June.
We hope everyone enjoys there weekend!
