The Nest
Spring is in the air with some lovely weather and lots of sunshine. The children have experimented and explored different spring activities.
Playing and Exploring/Active Learning
The children have experimented with flowers and a colander to enhance their fine motor skills. The children used whole hand grasps and pincer grips, demonstrating a can do attitude. The children engaged in enjoyable interactions, filled with laughter and smiles.
Communication and Language
Children enjoyed painting with flower cutters, demonstrating good control and creating beautiful flower marks. They were proud of their creations and proud of their work.
The importance of early mark making
Early childhood marks, such as sand patterns and brush strokes, are crucial for literacy, creativity, and foundational skills in early childhood development.
Physical Development
The children have been using and finding various objects to build with, as they have been curious about building towers. The children showed good control in stacking the objects on top of each other, which further enhanced their hand eye coordination.
The children have enjoyed having their snack outside as a whole group. They sat lovely eating snack and drinking their water.
