The Nest

Playing and Exploring/Active Learning

The children had lots of fun exploring the water, as they were making lots of splashing movements with their hands and feet. The children became very excited when they seen more water coming. The children were using their whole body to move around the water creating large movements. The children spent a considerable amount of time exploring the water, as they were fully engaged in what they were doing.

Communication and Language

The children engaged in identifying animals and their sounds through animal books, demonstrating friendly interactions and enjoyment in each others company.

Physical Development

The children have enjoyed being outside exploring the garden envornment with such confidence and independence. The climbing frame has been a big hit, as the children are beginning to take risks, showing their capabilities of knowing what they can do.

Parent Partnerships

Parents were warmly welcomed to our morning stay and play session, where children enjoyed various indoor and outdoor activities. Thank you for your visit.

During the summer term we are very lucky to be welcoming Hayley and Emma to the Discovery Hub team. They are working with us on a project linked to the role of a teacher in 2 year old provision. Hayley and Emma will not have a key person role and will be leading and developing our approach to all things ‘two’ alongside our wonderful Hilary. They are looking forward to getting to know our children and families over the coming weeks so do say hello and have a quick chat if you spot them around the centre!
