Nest and Den:

We have had a lovely week as we join the two rooms upstairs in The Nest.

The children have enjoyed mark making opportunities using chalk and crayons throughout the week. They selected which colour they would like to draw with and made marks on the paper. Some of the older children were able to identity some of the colours, like ‘blue, yellow, red’ and ‘green’.

The children also enjoyed singing time with the box of props. The children showed good patience as they waited their turn to choose which prop to choose. They particularly enjoyed ‘3 monkeys swinging in the trees’ with the addition of the crocodile and monkey puppet. The older children confidently spoke “3” when asked how many monkeys are in the tree!

The children from The Den really enjoyed playing in the home corner this week ad they role played with a range of resources. We added some hats and bags to extend the children’s interest which they loved!
