The Investigation Hub at a Sidney Grove

Week beginning 30th March 2026

It has been a busy and exciting four days in the run up to Easter!

It was delightful to see so many of you at our Stay and Play sessions on Tuesday! The children always love to have the opportunity to share their learning with you and we hope you enjoyed the variety of activities including transient art, using tweezers to find hidden eggs for fine-motor skills, threading pasta and flowers to create necklaces and using collage materials to create rainbow sun catchers! There was also the chance to plant a sunflower seed (please let us know if you manage to grow your very own sunflower!) and to have an egg and spoon race outside.

We have spent the last few days working on some lovely arts and crafts activities, creating Easter cards and finishing our cherry blossom branches we have been collaging together. We have talked about Easter and how people may celebrate at the weekend. In their own interests the children have enjoyed using flower petals and stems to create potions and have enjoyed using non-fiction texts to find out about sea creatures and about insects!

We wish you a very enjoyable Easter weekend!

For term time children we will open again on Monday 20th April 2026! Remember, we love to see what you are up to during the holidays by sharing a quick post with us on Famly, have a lovely break! 🌸🌼🌷🐣
