The Nest:

Characteristics of affective Learning:

This week we have had a wonderful time in our nest with our lovely new friends in building relationships and exploring different areas playing with different toys, looking at picture books and listening to the stories. We also enjoyed singing different rhymes and our song of the week was ‘ The wheels on the bus’. The children enjoyed as we sang the rhymes and with joy they clapped their hands.

Active Learning.

This week children as well enjoyed mark making with different coloured crayons. It was lovely to see some of our children interacting with each other and experimenting with different coloured crayons .The children also had fun with play dough as they could experienced the texture and feel the natural resources.

Physical Development

The children have enjoyed being in the garden exploring the trikes and low level balancing beams, further developing their gross motor skills.

The children were eager to explore the foam, as they were curious to investigate. The children used their hands to squeeze the foam to feel the texture. The children used their whole hand grasp moving the textured sponge around the foam. It was so lovely to see how the children were engaged throughout this experience. There was lots of lovely interactions and enjoyment between the children.

Parent as partners

Please find a copy of instructions to add an observation of your child to Famly (usually a photograph and a little description of what is happening)

This could be used to share some home experiences, developmental milestones or special moments with us at Nursery. If you would like to, you could also share a family photograph this way, so that we can print them off and display them in the Nursery.

Please feel free to ask a member of staff to support with this
