The children were inspired by a letter that they received from Denise when she visited London. They created their own pictures and letters to send to their families.
We placed our pictures in envelopes and went for a walk to the local Post Office.
We looked closely at all of the letters and signs on the shops and some of the children had visited the Post Office before and recognised where it was in the street.
Ready to post our mail and we discovered by counting that we would need four stamps.
We each had some money to buy the stamps.
We discovered a picture of ‘The Queen’ on the stamps as we carefully placed the stamps on our envelopes.
Ready to post!
The children looked closely at the sign and we noticed that our letters would be collected at 5.00pm and delivered the next day!
Hurrah! Our families received a special delivery from the children!!
